2018 Butterfly Run

Katelyn's Kaleidoscope

Welcome to our Team Fundrasing Page!

Our team name is Katelyn’s Kaleidoscope.
A group of butterflies can be referred to as a Kaleidoscope so we thought the word was very fitting for a team of people coming together. We’ll all be soaring in the Butterfly Run together in Katelyn's honour.

For those of you who don’t know, the Butterfly Run was created by a few local women who want to break the silence of pregnant and infant loss. The Butterfly Run creates a safe place for families and friends to discuss their loss.
The money raised goes towards creating the Butterfly Kits families receive after their loss, additional resources (bunnies, books for siblings, SD cards for photos, ink pads for hand and foot prints, etc), staff training and specific equipment families may wish to access such as a cuddle cot.

To date the Butterfly Run has raised $175 000 in just two years!

We know there is an army of people who would like to help support Ryan, Brittni and Emma. This is a day we can come together and give back to the community all while keeping Katelyn close to our hearts forever and always.

Thank you so much for all of your support.

xoxo

Thank you for choosing to support our fundraising efforts for the 2018 Butterfly Run!

Money raised from the 2018 run will go directly to the Quinte 7 Maternal Child Department and Emergency Departments at QHC. Money from registration fees, donations and sponsorships are all used to provide bereavement support in our community.

Through your contributions, you will

  • Help create bereavement support items that are hand delivered to patients at all four QHC sites
  • Allow for QHC employees to recieve Pregnancy and Infant Loss Training
  • Help BGH purchase vital equipment to be used in neonatal care

Thank you for standing with parents and families who have to face the devestating reality of losing a pregancy or infant. Together we will ensure our community has the support necessary to ensure they recieve the support and care they desperately need.
