WALKING TO HELP IMPROVE CANCER CARE
Walking saved my life. Nearly ten years of walking every day gave me an early warning sign that literally saved my life—keeping my heart healthy and completely preventing blocked arteries from giving me a heart attack. That was seven years ago.
I still walk a lot, and now I have challenged myself to walk to help raise money to help improve cancer care right here in Belleville. This is a big walk—over double what I normally do in two days. But this challenge is very small compared to the challenges facing cancer patients, their friends and family.
I sincerely hope you will click on the GREEN “DONATE NOW” BUTTON on this page and make a donation in support of my walk. By making a donation, you are helping cancer care right here in our own community.
Even if you can’t make a donation today, I want to thank you for reading this far and for your time. Also, to ask you to forward the link that brought you here to your friends, family and anyone else you might think might help.
Anything to help me spread the word is greatly appreciated and WILL make a difference.
All funds raised will go directly to
- supporting cancer care in various departments at Belleville General Hospital, like Diagnostic Imaging, Operating/Surgical, Pharmacy and Lab
- The Dr. Douglas A. MacIntosh Oncology Clinic at BGH
Fifty-three kilometres is a long walk—about 65,000 steps for me—and I sincerely appreciate your support. By making a donation you are helping those who continue their fight, the survivors and honour the memory of those who have passed. You will also help those who put so much effort into research, care and comfort of loved ones in that fight against cancer.
My name is Brian Mumford, and I’m walking to help improve cancer care at BGH. Thanks again, and please forward the link to this page to as many people as you possibly can!
